Privacy Policy

Scene Cards is developed and published by Keith Tunney ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. What we collect

1.1 Data you provide directly

When you use Cloud Walls (our optional crew-sharing feature), we collect:

Email address — used to create and identify your account, and to send sign-in links. We do not use it for marketing.
Display name — optional; used to identify you within a production team.

1.2 Data generated by your use of the app

When Cloud Walls is active, the following production data is stored in Firebase (Google Cloud):

Scene card content you enter: scene numbers, location headings, briefs, comments, revision colours.
Schedule data imported from your one-liner PDFs.
Shoot report metadata (day numbers, report types, entry counts).
Reference file uploads (stills, PDFs, and other files you explicitly upload to a shared production).

This data is stored per-production and is accessible only to members you or your production owner have invited.

1.3 Data that stays on your device

The following never leaves your device (unless you explicitly use Cloud Walls):

Your script text (raw screenplay content).
Your .scenecards document files.
Reference files and stills stored locally.
Any data in documents not connected to a Cloud Walls production.

1.4 Diagnostic data

On iOS and macOS, Apple's standard crash reporting may collect anonymised crash logs if you have opted in to sharing with developers via your device settings. We receive only crash data — no personal information, no document content.

We do not use any third-party analytics SDKs.

2. How we use your data

We use the data described above only to:

Authenticate you and manage your account.
Sync your wall and production data across devices and with crew members.
Deliver sign-in links to your email address.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising or any commercial purpose.

3. Third-party services

Scene Cards uses the following third-party services when Cloud Walls is active:

These services are governed by Google's privacy policies. Data is stored in Google Cloud infrastructure.

4. Data retention

Account data: retained until you delete your account.
Production data: retained until the production owner deletes it, or until you remove yourself from the production.
Local documents: stored on your device and iCloud account only; we have no access to them.

5. Your rights

You may at any time:

Access the data we hold about you by contacting us at the address below.
Delete your account and associated data by contacting us.
Export your scene card data — your .scenecards document is a self-contained file you can keep at any time.

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under GDPR / UK GDPR, including the right to rectification, restriction of processing, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

6. Children

Scene Cards is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
